It was learned from the provincial environmental protection department yesterday that the emergency plan for heavily polluted weather in Jiangsu Province (Revised Draft) was officially issued. The draft improved the emergency command system, early warning standard setting, early warning information release, early warning hierarchical response and implementation of emergency measures. In the future, once there are air quality pollution in five or more cities in the province, the provincial air pollution emergency command center can issue air quality pollution early warning and start the emergency plan.

According to the draft, there will be four levels of early warning: blue, yellow, orange and red according to the degree of air quality pollution. If the air quality index AQI reaches 300, it is a yellow warning, if it is above 400, it is an orange warning, and if it is above 450, it is another red warning. The current standard of our city is that if the AQI index reaches 300, it is a serious pollution, and the red warning can be started.

According to the relevant person of the provincial environmental protection department, the AQI index is within 200 and the pollution level is low, so the blue warning will not be started generally. If the AQI index of five or more cities in the province reaches 300, the provincial air pollution emergency command center will start the yellow or other early warning and coordinate emergency measures, such as industrial production reduction and restriction, vehicle traffic restriction, site shutdown, etc.
